The $73 bucks seems a bit steep.
Just want to know if this worth the investment.

A fool and his $$ are easily parted- or something like that.
Claiming 3dB gain regardless of frequency is just pure nonsense
There are no patterns available and the independent study appears only to
have been measuring radiation from the coaxial shield.

Pure junk, directional as all hell. One minute you hear the signal,
turn the corner and it disappears. Their db claim is bogus, a coat
hanger would work better. They are way too small to even work
marginal on VHF. For that money you can do better.
