I know two people personally that use the state system. Just a few days
ago when I was mentioning the whole mess to him again, he said just this morning the system crashed again and we're back to the old system. It was a political mess to begin with. When the truth comes out and the person or persons responsible for taking kickbacks is found, this **** will hit the fan. There have been some rumors that this happened because the sellers of the system were from a different country. Also what I've been hearing is that if you're near the Reno area and you key out to reach Las Vegas dispatch, you can crash the entire state system. The **** will hit the fan soon. The system doesn't work and those responsible for buying it will come to justice. The system we had before worked just fine. All they needed to do is change the licenses and keep them off the illegal and we're fine. The VHF frequencies were given for law enforcement reasons. The Motorola system is a tried and true state system. It may not have as many features and be as glamorous as the new system, but at least it works and may help save lives. |
