Does anyone have this unit yet? If so, what do you think?

Well, there's an initial review posted on RadioReference; and Larry
Van Horn of MT has, I'm pretty sure, been playing with one a bit. If
you don't need digital trunking (which is becoming real big here in
Maryland), it seems like this has got the fast track to 'gotta have it'

Larry Van Horn shared some very positive comments on the Chattradio list on
Yahoogroups around Nov 8, 2004.

He had been involved with the Uniden beta testing of the 246.

His only "negatives" were that the scanner wouldn't do digital trunking, and
couldn't receive mil-air.

Larry mentioned that Monitoring Times would have a review of the scanner in
their December issue.
