I have a radio shack pro 2026 that I have used for several years. It
seems to not be able to pick up frequencies as it did when it was new.
Should I erase all programmed frequencies and reprogram or is it just
getting old or should I replace it.

It could be that the agencies you listened to moved to 800 MHz or went
digital. This depends on where you live. Just a thought. All the Public
Safety Stuff moved to 800 MHz and the Police went digital several years ago.
