any antenna will work on any frequency, it's a matter of "how well". It
will have many deep lobes, and dead spots.

If you buy a cheap 2 meter 440 magmount antenna from MFJ it would be an easy
matter to convert it into a groundplane.

2Mt 5/8 wavelength antennas often use a matching coil that
will NOT pass 440RF.
