Is it safe to spray some contact cleaner (DeOxit) into the BNC connector on
my handheld scanner? The 2 prongs or forks look dirty and I want to get the best connection possible.... Frank |

You might want to be careful about getting any on the plastic case of the
radio itself. It should be safe to use on the connector. Bill Crocker "Frank Bals" wrote in message ... Is it safe to spray some contact cleaner (DeOxit) into the BNC connector on my handheld scanner? The 2 prongs or forks look dirty and I want to get the best connection possible.... Frank |

If you're worried about the plastic, try a bit of lighter fluid on a normally hidden part; the cleaner in DeOxit is naphtha. -- The state religion of the USA is atheism, as established by the courts. |
