Very interested in purchasing the BC246 but slightly concerned as to why
there is an firmware upgrade issue already. Can anyone provide any info on
this? What is wrong with the factory firmware and if there are known bugs,
does anyone know what they are? Also hearing there is an issue with Windows
XP causing problems with the firmware update. Is this a good scanner to buy
for monitoring while traveling? Looking for answers and do not want to join
any email group lists - thanks in advance.

There are no problems with using XP to update the firmware other then
the people sitting in front of the computer that cant seem to read the
step by step directions.
