Default 700 mhz frequencies

ther is talk about some organizations moving to frequencies in the
700mhz area exactly where.. 790-800 ?? right now anything from 470-800
is UHF TV... ??? UHF was channels 14-83,,, now is 14 to 69 because ch
70-83 was taken for the 800mhz land mobile and telephone bands

TV channels 52-69 are going away....they are going to the new 700MHz bands
(Upper and lower 700) because the TV channels will be shrinking due to
DTV....there is no longer a need to keep a guard channel (blank ones)
between active TV signals in a given area...you can now have TV 7 and 8 or 8
and 9 operational in the same city as digital...under analog they have to
leave a blank channel on either side of an operational channel...so it would
be 7 and 9 only or 8 only.....With the guard channel need removed, the
number of TV channels total needed for the country shrinks and thus the high
end was done away with. There is also talk that TV 2 thru 6 will go away
because DTV does not like skip conditions that happen more frequently on
those channels...
