Default Someone at Uniden smoking something good?

Was wondering if anybody has ever heard of these new NASCAR scanners from
Uniden? The BC78XLT, or maybe the BC98XLT, or how about the BC230? Me
neither.....

Whoever wrote up this Spec Sheet must have been on a good high that day.
Front page is fine, back page lists non-existent hardware, even at the
bottom, where all three units have the same barcode...

Are they Canadian, American, or European Part numbers?

These would be American, and I'd also assume Canadian, as I don't believe
Uniden has alternate part numbers for the Canadian market, though I could be
wrong...

In any case, the two responses I have received so far are analyzing this
thing too much... I was just pointing out some pretty bad mistakes in the
Spec Sheet... Just requires a look and a laugh; no analysis or additional
questions are required to accomplish this...

Last month a guy came into our radio shop for me to teach him
how to program these scanners (72XLT). Even though he had
the manual, he couldn't figure it out.

I don't think it is a matter of intelligence, but some people simply
have not had much, if any, real exposure to following complex
instructions and their minds simply freeze under the pressure. When
walked through the process slowly and methodically, they tend to then
understand what the words actually mean. We forget that scanner
instructions are laced with specific wording and phrasing that one can
find nowhere else outside of the scanner world, i.e., a backwater
dialect.
