Default Scanner Pro ?

Anyone have any dealings with these guys? Good or bad? I had intended to buy
one of these late last year when I saw them looked kind of nice. never did,
now after the experience today trying to get an extra to go with my 95 I
guess I will give them (Uniden) a try, but I don't know of any stores here
that sell them. If I don't hear any bad stuff about these guys I will try
ordering one from them. Thanks.
E-mail addy is good BTW if anyone has anything to say they would rather send
that way.

Can not comment on that place. If you are looking for cheap, try here...
Same price, AFTER shipping costs... I know they are reliable..
http://www.usascan.com/files/bc246T.cfm

It's also available at Amazon.com for 4-cents more, shipping included if you
shop there...

Thanks, looks like a good place to try.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Thanks again, I ordered one when I got home from work this morning, and they
already sent me the Tracking info on the shipment. Can't beat that for
service. Down loaded the manual, will have time to read it through a bit
before it gets here so it should be easier to get it going. Looking forward
to seeing how it works. Still bothers me that RS seems to care less. I guess
the turnover there is just too much any more for them to attract "help" that
stays around long enough to be able to know something about what they sell.
In any case I'll let everyone know how this one works.

Glad to here everything is going well so far... I have been looking at
these as well, but there are so many new units out there recently, that I'm
not sure which to get and which I can actually afford...

Thanks again for the recommendation. Got the scanner today. It was a
"challenge" to learn how to program for trunking, but after a while
I got the hang of it enough to get the city police and fire. Great
little scanner, will be MUCH easier to use at work because of the size,
and I very much like the way the system works.
