Hi all,
I went to the Canadian International Airshow (CIAS) aka the Toronto Air Show yesterday and found that several of the frequencies posted around the internet were incorrect. Here's what I found: Island TOWER 118.200 Island ARR/DEP 133.400 Boss Control: 119.200 Show Radar: 124.100 118.000 Pilot Commentary: 123.600 SnowBirds: 272.100 Metro Police marine units 861.1875 (fm) Canadian Coast Guard Search & Rescue 157.125 (fm) Air emergency 121.500 156.275 (fm) Pearson Mil Air 234.800 The most interesting stuff was listening to Boss Control coordinate the show on 119.2. A plane would enter the show through that coordination then some would switch to 123.6 and talk to the croud. This commendary is piped through the P/A system at the CNE. When their performance was finished they'd exit on 119.2 then switch to 118.2 to get landing vectors to the Island airport, or directions to pierson, markham or buttonville. The finale was the Snowbirds and it was truely awesome listening to them call their formations on 272.1. Hope this helps someone. |
