Default Need help with Pro-97

Hey all - just bought a Pro-97 and have a little problem.

I entered the 20 or so freqs. for the trunking system in my area (Motorola
II). I also entered a bunch (like 20 or 30) of talkgroup IDs. The scanner
is in open mode and nothing is locked out.

What happens is this - when it scans, it won't display the talkgroup IDs
unless I change the mode from FM to MO (for Motorola) for each channel. If
I do that, it ceases to stop on an active frequency when scanning. If I set
each channel back to FM mode, it scans fine as before (but doesn't display
the talkgroup ID). What am I doing wrong? According to the manual, you're
supposed to enter the trunk mode for each channel but it doesn't seem to
work properly if I do that.

Thanks.

You need to set the *bank* and the channels to Motorola Type II
trunking.

Thanks, I figured it out. I had the control channels locked-out. Don't ask.

The control channels are the only ones you should program in.
