I may soon be in the market for a handheld, and I need it to be
cheap.... any suggestions? I'd like it to have full 800 MHz coverage, but I'm more interested in 900 to 912 MHz. A trunktracker is probably more than I need and more than I'd like to spend. |

If you don't need "digital", then check out Radio Shack's (Mfg. by GRE),

try this site out mate
i got my new one from here the icom R5 (IC-R5) service is tops always ready to advise and can get you anything and when your ready to say get external arials or upgrade they are willing to advise for free the guy is an enthusiast and passionate about the equipment so you cant go wrong with this chap http://www.stewart-aviation.co.uk/rs/index-page4.html |

Uniden br330t is your scanner. 0 - 1300 minus cellular. great
scanner. also of importance is the ability to modulate in wfm which some of the other's do not ![]() I have owned every handheld scanner from yupi, aor (all), rs, yaesu, icom and this one is really great!!!! Just does not do cellular zzzzzzzzz, and digital. the IC-R5 can do cellular you just have to find a programme off the net
and connect your scanner via the cable and decode your heart out |
