Default Pro-97 and CB?

How good is the pro-97 at listening to CB? Are any scanners good at
hearing CB chatter?

Scanners do not do very well on CB. One reason is, that if the scanner
covers the CB frequencies at all, it is at the very low-end of the scanners
capabilities, so performance is not optimal. Another issue is that none of
the scanners come with antennas that are anywhere near being the proper
length for CB frequencies.

You would be better off just buying an inexpensive CB.

No... most scanner antennas are insufficient for picking up CB signals...
