Currently using the RS Pro-91` and see that RS has the 97 currently on sale
for 149.00. plus I have a RS $10.00 off coupon burning a hole in my pocket. I have seen words here regarding rebanding?? Is it worth it at this time to move up to the pro-97. Wife is somewhat skeptical (she suffers some from tecnophobia) about 91 vs 97. Any advive welcomed............... Tom in Tomball, TX |

That time period isn't very long for me. Folks talk about making sure you can upgrade firmware to account for rebanding, etc., and I understand that to some degree, but the other side of it is that there's stuff to listen to NOW. In my view sitting around paralyzed by fear of obsolescence isn't any way to do things, particularly concerning the relatively small amount of money you're talking about. If you were kicking around dropping a grand or something, that would be different. Wife is somewhat skeptical (she suffers some from tecnophobia) about 91 vs 97. Any wife who has any sort of informed opinion on the PRO-91 vs. the PRO-97 is definitely NOT technophobic. ![]() [...] -- Bo Williams - http://hiwaay.net/~williams/ |
