I have a question regarding the Pro 98 scanner. The 800 MHz stuff if just
starting to catch hold around here, and "I" personally don't deal with it much. So, I have a question - on the Pro - 98, with some 800 stuff programmed in, often I hear a sort of machine gun noise. Other times I hear actual signals. The noise is so irritationg though, you tend to take the freqs out and not hear anything. I've not used the "Trunking" function on the scanner as yet, is that the problem? Thanks |

The machine gun noise is probably a trunked system's control channel. You'll hear the voice traffic on the system if you program it as a trunked system. |
