LOL I was kinda stunned when I read this too...

WOW ! you sure have NO idea what you are talking about !!!!

the 55 is NOT AT ALL RARE !
it DOES NOT have advanced circuitry over the 2010 !!!!!!!
It DOES NOT even have a sync detector !!!!!

the average price on ebay for the 55 is $175 to $250 depending on what it
comes with, hard case or soft case etc....

but you are so clueless, I am not sure what I can teach you.......

All the bids were posted at the end of the auction and
the Sony ICF-SW55 is a rather rare radio and is also
an upgraded circuitry version of the venerable Sony 2010.
I see no problem with this auction. Perhaps if you want to
be an self-appointed "e-Bay Cop" you should contact e-Bay
directly and offer your services to them at no charge instead of
wasting your time in the ham radio NG's?

No problem? The radio sells every other day on Ebay for $200 or so. I own
one.

Agree completely that this looks on the up and up. The high bidder
looks real enough. The other bidder who has zero feedback initially
looked suspicious, but his bidding history looks ok. He bid on three
different SW55's all listed by different sellers. If the radio is in
the condition the seller says it is and if the buyer is willing to pay
the price then why not. It's the buyers money.

Contrary to what the original poster hinted at there is nothing wrong
with this auction that I see. But maybe the original poster will
respond back with specifics about why he feels this auction is
suspicious. Any one can assert the auction looks suspicious without
giving a reason.

Call your Congresscritter. Get 'em to propose a law against 'out of control bidding'.

You worry way too much about how other people spend THEIR money, and that means YOU have
a PROBLEM!

What I see is someone who wants one of these radios, nothing more, nothing
less... Did you bother to do a "search by bidder"? Bet not. Just because
someone has a zero feedback doesn't make them a shill bidder.

Check his bid history for yourself. This individual has bid on three
different auctions, by three different people, for the SAME model radio.
Research before you accuse! Not researching makes you look like the
dumb-ass in the end!

Let's send all of the illegal aliens to Canada.I think Canada loves
illegal aliens. As if there aren't any illegal aliens in Canada
already.(look at the problems UK is having with those illegal aliens
over there) Lets me do a www.devilfinder.com for that, illegal
aliens in Canada.Dontchoo fret Canada, there will be more illegal aliens
going to Canada.Of that,I am sure. The population of Canada (numbers
wise) is about the same as in California.(I once looked it up) Lots of
room in Canada for many millions of illegal aliens.Get out your
surrender flags,Canada.
