Default Voice of Korea

Here in SE UK I've been trying to get Voice of Korea (Radio Pyongyang as
was...) and according to their info at
http://www.voiceofkorea.org/technical/inquiryform.htm I've been trying
13.760 and 15.245 between 13:00 and 13:57UTC. Nothing... Zilch... (I know
it's daytime, will try again later on tonight)

Has anyone had any success with N.Korea? I've been explaining the HF output
of such states to my partner and this is the last proper Stalinist police
state. (Remember the military marching music whilst Gorbachev was "on
holiday" in his country dacha?) Anyway, I'd really appreciate any freq's and
times/locations etc that people have had any success with this one...
Shortwave is just not the same without some decent propaganda. There used to
be loads of it.

Not much of a signal here on 9335 at 1400 but am hearing their interval signal
and anthem prior to listed French.

I've found the height to be a great help. You can barely see the
longwire I put up between the trees in the back yard. Of course, I have
a much better antenna at my Summer place..

I'm sure that if you work harder, you will be able to get a better place
in few years. I KNOW suffering, believe me. Last year's grape harvest
was four percent lower than was forecast. That caused much pain and
suffering in the household. Even the stable attendants were heard crying
in bitter anguish...at least that's what the chauffeur said.

I love this group. It's so egalitarian. Even poor (shudder) people get
heard. After all, it's the radios that count, not the hovels that the
lesser classes have to endure.

Please excuse me. I have to supervise the trades people now. I have the
longwire antenna lovingly coated with Technetium on an annual basis and
the work crew has arrived at the gate.

Understood... You just can't get the staff nowadays. (Shouts.."Bath the
hareme please Helga, and more blondes this time!")

Sheesh!

A word of advice..as an added bit of insurance, I had all the receivers
within three metres of the the pools placed on ground fault circuit
interrupters. Losing house guests (or even staff) to stray currents that
make them spasmodically twitch and writhe isn't very nice. Amusing and
humourous? Yes. Nice? No.

with you.The Gales over there might blow you away though.Maybe you need
a big tall antenna.
