God Damn It - I hope, there is something left on SW. Now that Canada
has authorized IBOC, they will surely follow suit ! The only hope, is that the general public will continue its apathy towards HD Radio/IBOC ! "FM Translators for AM Stations?", August 21, 2006 http://www.broadcastlawblog.com/arch...-stations.html |

Yes, they have: http://beradio.com/eyeoniboc/canada-...topstory122706 And, all they would have to do, is the samething with the FM translators, because they have issues with nighttime AM IBOC: http://americanbandscan.blogspot.com...in-canada.html |

They said they would accept applications, which in Canada triggers a review of any new technology. There is no approval Well, then there is a tiny bit of hope. |

MW Broadcast Band is dead. Stick a fork in it. FCC is going to allocate new
abandoned TV channels to AM broadcasters. It'll all be over in about 10 years. wrote in message ups.com... God Damn It - I hope, there is something left on SW. You obviously don't know ****. AS a matter of fact, the AM band is alive and well, with talk/news ! |

"FM Translators for AM Stations?", August 21, 2006 http://www.broadcastlawblog.com/arch...-stations.html "Opening Up the Conversation - talk radio new formats to attract new audiences" "Talk radio is still tremendously popular, capturing 17 percent of all listeners during a given quarter-hour period, a share that has remained stable over the past few years. Radio talk show hosts wield enormous influence... Talk programs also tend to be more expensive for advertisers than music formats... Talk has consistently been among the top three formats in terms of converting audience share to revenue share." http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl..._1/ai_79052842 Too bad, looks like AM talk-radio is doing just fine, in the US ! Just, talking out of your ass ! |
