Default Handheld GMRS radio range question

own a pair of Midland LXT300 GMRS radios, the package says it has an
average range of 10 miles under good conditions. I have heard that the

range of GMRS radios is often exaggerated, can anybody shead any light
on this? Is this also true for my radio set? thx in advance

Default Handheld GMRS radio range question

If you believe that ANY of these GMRS/FRS radios will have a range of
10 miles, I can tell you where you can buy a nice bridge connecting
Manhattan with Brooklyn! ;-)

I think you can get just as good range with two cans and string.

Best,

Joe
