I sold my R8B thinking that I wanted to buy a Harris 590A. Now I think
I might want a R8B again, so I would be interested if you have one to

I prefer not to deal with Ebay unless it is local enough to pick it up.
I have a problem shelling out over a grand without seeing the unit. I
range from DC to North Carolina to New Hampshire, and as far west as
Ohio. There are a few here on the board that I would trust - So if you
want to part with one of yours then let me know. I'm actually working
for Harris RF now so a 590A wouldn't be so hard for me to get hold of,
but I miss my R8B a lot.

Well, I rarely use the one I currently have, preferring to use the R8 and/or the
R7. Though at times I'll fire all 4 up at once. Shop around eBay and you'll come
up with one at a decent price.

Looks like you messed up,selling your Drake R8B.

Universal radio had an R8B listed on their used list updated yesterday.
It has probably been sold already but you could call & ask. They close
at 3:00 PM EST I think.

Their prices seem to be on the high side for Drake or JRC equipment as
the market seems to support that..... but if you want one they get them
fairly often.

Not really. I was happy to sell it to the guy who bought it. He
wanted it and I made him a fair deal. I might even visit my old radio
one day in New Mexico when I get to finally make that trip down old RT
66. I sawed my damn thumb off, with a Ryobi table saw, the day I was
supposed to leave in September so I've had to postpone the trip. And
anyway you've heard the saying that you don't know what you've had till
it's gone. I'm thinking that this is one of these cases. So I'll find
another no problem. Reason I mentioned it here is because I would
trust (most ) people here way more than an unknown person on Ebay.
Ken's Idea for Universal radio might work too, but I won't be able to
buy radio for a couple of months. So please keep me in mind if
anybody knows of one coming up for sale.
