There isn't anything wrong with cheap shortwave radios.If you lose one
or if it gets damaged somehow,you aren't out much money. cuhulin |

That was about the kind of set I first received shortwave on, so you may be right there. I suspect some of them probably perform as good as some $100+ rigs ... Nah... TANSTAAFL. (I have, however, sighted a 4-element ceramic filter on an inside photos of one cheapie model - the internals didn't look too neatly soldered though.)
