Global warming may have some deleterious effects, but it is doubtful that propagation variance is among them. I think the height variations, based on temp differences of a few degrees Kelvin (which is only about a one percent temp difference in absolute terms) at the earth's surface, are going to be minimal, on the order of a couple of miles altitude at most. This is within normal ranges of seasonal and even day-to-day variation anyway. You might see some anomalies if you were to keep careful statistical track, but overall I don't think this ought to be a big concern. Bruce Jensen |
