i bought the thing for next to nothing. it looks new except no
faceplate over the display. the buttons are all on the cd player
cover. weird, no? weird.

any ideas?

So,what is a Bose Wave Radio? (yeah,I know,I have seen those ads in
magazines and those commercials on tv) A plastic cabinet with a cheap
tuner and cardboard tubes snakeing the sound around from the
speakers.With or with out a CD player.Someone in this newsgroup once
posted a site that shows what the inside of those radios look like.Seems
to me,anyone who knows how to work on radios,repair radios,can easily
repair a Bose Wave Radio.

yeh i agee a totally over-priced, over-hyped piece of crap but in some
quarters...

well, anyway all i want to do is replace my dead grundig.

just looking for the magic bullet. dont want to pay the fifty dollars
and shipping and wait for whatever time length is mandatory. because
i'm almost certain its just some crappy little thing and total
refurbishing of a new looking unused(?) item seems uh redundant.

Wait untill (if they ever will again) www.jr.com lowers the price
on them Sony 7600GR radios and buy one of them.If you are going to buy
another tote radio,you might as well get a goodun.

I did post the websites that PhattyMo (Thanks,PhattyMo) posted about
Bose in that computer newsgroup in Ireland.I posted them exactly.But
after I posted them over there (for good old Heidy to check out) and
then I clicked on them,over there,they wouldn't work for me.So,what's up
with that? I don't want them Shamrocks over there bawling me out.
