Several vintage style hybrid-tube radios are being developed in China,
these radios will use IC front end and a tube output stage. Radio cabinet is 50s style made of wood, you can find pictures in the VAL group. http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Val...29?b=1&m=f&o=0 http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Val...29?b=2&m=f&o=0 I tried the R801 prototype a few weeks ago, the sound is similar to Grundig/SABA tube radios made in 1950-1960s, very transparent, warm and powerful. The R802 is an economic model with an IC output stage, however still maintains the same tube like sound. http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Val...c3?b=1&m=f&o=0 |

Everything old is new again.I own an old Made in America brass blade
electric fan just like that one in that photo, it still works as good as new too. Those old brass blade electric fans are more collectible than the steel blade electric fans.I bought it for $10.00 years ago at a fleamarket.I own about a dozen old, old, old electric fans. cuhulin |
