Don't they ever listen to their own broadcast? Unbelievable. Man, you're lucky to have the real estate for a 1500 ft wire. That must be nice! Steve |

Steve You know what gets me is that their audio is always poor. I've heard some of the old QRMers on 75 meters from years ago have better audio. Used to be a guy named Walter up in the NJ/NYC area that played this old Marching music on 75 meters. He was about broadcast quality audio. Yet for some reason, the people in that round building in Cairo can't get the audio right. Its been awful for years and I've been into SWL and Ham for 15 plus years. I'm thinking of writing one of their technical people and finding out the scoop on why their audio is always so distorted. It sounds like someone has a mouthful of peas trying to talk. It used to be quite bad on 9900 years ago as well. 12050 had better audio and some of their Arabic broadcasts weren't bad. Some good mics and audio gear would help immensely. They need to talk to Berringer, Audio Technica or the like. Its bad. |
