this one is not in very good cosmetic condition ! works fine however and is
very sensitive. receives quites a few SWBC stations with the whip not even up. if this was in excellent condition would sell for about $150. most people don't know it but the 2600 is basically a 2900 with single speed tuning. I studied the schematics for both to determine this myself. the RF-2900 is a great radio, so that means the 2600 is also. email me for a picture more info he http://www.dxing.com/rx/rf799.htm |

And the 2600 has a two-way coaxial speaker. Very nice sounding radio.

I own a Panasonic RF-2600 radio.I bought it new at a Service Merchandise
store.A few years later, the radio got to where it wouldn't stay on station, I tune to a station/frequency and I can see the big tuning knob drifting, if I wedge a piece of cardboard between the back of the tuning knob and the plastic front cover, sometimes it will stay on station/frequency.The radio got to where it won't turn on at all unless I stick a tiny thin piece of a plastic wedge between the earphone jack and the plastic hole where the earphone jack is.I have never used the earphone jack for anything before.Other than that, the radio works ok. cuhulin |
