Sadly all the lovely mint condition boatanchors had to go under instructions from the ball and chain. The magnificent Eddystone 940 that is just superb on MW, with it's magnificently engineered tuning wheel, went to my DX pal Gary Deacon in Cape Town. He also got a very nice Hallicrafter's SX-100 from me. The lovely imbuia solid wood GE radogram from the 50's went to a local ham here in Montagu. They all went for free as there is no markt for them in South Africa, although they fetch high prices on eBay in the U.S. and UK. John Plimmer, Montagu, South Africa. |
