Well, JP, actually the BBC in English on 7120 is a lot easier to hear
up here than the // Meyerton relay on 6005, mainly thanks to Havana on
6000. BTW, I didn't hear it last night, but Radio Sonder Grense, also
from Meyerton, has been showing up regularly on 3320 in Afrikaans.
Decent musical selections.

Mike you have a nice collection of RX's in your shack = enjoy!
I listen mainly to BBC from Meyerton on 3255 and 6190 and am surprised
how little they get logged in the States.

Having BBC beamed to me so powerfully is a real priviledge - their
programming is superb as is their sports coverage. They beat my local
stations hands down - their coverage of the Olympics is just superb -
they ran the actual commentary on Sunday of the U.S. team winning the
4X100 meter relay with Phelps coming in at the third leg.after the US
team were well behind. The commentator got so excited when Phelps
rescued the situation and pulled ahead I thought he was going to
swallow the mike.

Then there is BBC news - their reporting on Africa always beats the
local stations and is much more accurate and factual as well.

The only local station I like is 567 Cape Talk which is really good,
but a bit far away from me so the only portable that can pick it up is
my RP2100.

Let me know if you can pick up those two BBC Meyerton frequencies - I
would be very interested to know if anyone can hear them?

Enjoy your listening and great DX.

In the Northern Hemisphere Winter I've logged 3255 before, but it's
been awhile and never as well as RSG seems to make it on 3320.
Unfortunately, R. Nederland-Bonaire currently blocks 6190.
