Here in Louisville, we've (and 200,000 other electrical customers) been without electricity since the remnants of Hurricane Ike blew through on Sunday. My neighbors have all been amazed at my RP-2100's ability to bring in MW stations from all across North America. The DX opportunities without local RFI have been outstanding. Mike, typing from work... Mike, I do have the CCrane SW version of the RP-2100, that was where *I picked up Saudi Arabia on 1521! *With all the power out there should be low levels of RF interference! Thanks so much for marking my card fella's. Indeed MW DXing is a marvellous part of the radio hobby to be added to your cap if you already DX the SW bands. I have just come back from my wonderful DX site at Jongensgat - see: http://www.geocities.com/jongensgat/ It a magic place and I took my Redsun RP2100 along for the wife to use. I did knock about with it one evening though and got great reception of Perth, Western Australia, a distance of 5,250 miles from the DX site, and that was bare bones with nothing but the internal ferrite rod. It's a really great portable!
