Again, I have no interest in listening to wild shock jock antics like dropping bra bombs on top of TV stations while trying to coin funny catchphrases like ³mother hucker² and ³brotherman² no matter how high- quality the signal is. As I have been saying. * The problem with HD radio is not a technical problem. * The problem is radio listenership is aging and declining. *This is not a recipe for success for *any* business. The current generations are busy watching TV/DVDs/playing video games/listening to MP3 players. * Radio is completely forgotten, because it does not offer anything that can't be had elsewhere without the commercials. Radio is old school, it is what your parents listen to. * That alone makes it something to be avoided by kids. HD has plenty of technical problems. Poor audio quality and poor quality of service would be two not to mention the analog interference. -- Telamon Ventura, California Nah the Problem with HD-Radio is that . . . It Is [Radio] {Assigned to the [Box] of other lessor thingees} to a younger Generation of Audio Consumers; that simply does not 'Think' Radio as a Major Audio Entertainment Option "At-Home" ~ RHF |

The problem with HD Radio is that it is encrypted. You must have a code to decipher it. It is not free. |

Satellite Radio, Internet Radio, MP3, HDTV, Celfone . . . The New HD-Radio Technology simply requires an HD-Radio Receiver. The Old FM Stereo Technology simply required an FM Stereo Receiver. The 'difference' is that in the 1960s and 1970s the Radio Business was still alive and growing for FM Stereo to be adopted as part of that growth. Now in the 2000s and 2010s the Radio Business is slowly dying and and their is little chance for HD-Radio to catch-on. * THEN RADIO WAS THE MAJOR [ONLY] AUDIO ENTERTAINMENT OPTION [CHOICE] PLUS TV. Any future that HD-Radio has is with FM HD-Radio and expanding the FM Radio Business model to include FM HD-Radio HD-2 Channels with a second Audio Stream and a Second Income Stream for the Owners of the FM "HD" Radio Stations. * TODAY RADIO IS ONE OF MANY AUDIO AND MANY MULTI-MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT OPTIONS [CHOICES] FWIW - AM/MW Radio is simply not a "Player" in the Future of the Radio Business and the future of HD-Radio.
