Usually the 3 headed monster on 3145/3185/3215 American Christian
monsters is usually booming at this time (0336 UTC) but they are hardly there. But yet I am picking up 4930 VOA out of Botswana strong tonight and WWV is crystal clear. Go figure... The fun of shortwave, what do they say, the only thing that is consistent in radio is change. |

DITTO - Example on 6160 kHz CKZU [CBU] from Vancouver, BC less than 1000 Miles away and the All-Night Chinese Blaster; both on the same frequency were each missing and the 41m Band's background noise floor was S0~S1 for several 10 kHzs on both sides. As you point out WWV & WWVH on 5000 kHz was a Solid S9+30dB with Zero Fade and Zero Atmospherics "Excellent". ~ RHF |

Tonight was back to normal on the 41m SW Band. 6160 kHz had a good signal for CKZU [CBU] from Vancouver, BC {RA-ABC} plus the Chinese {2~3?} were there too 12:45~13:01 UTC on 18 JAN 2009.
