You should be able to get Europe and Africa all day. 12 MHz band and up.

Hi,
I like most paranoid Christian shows but can't get into Melody
Scott's program since Dr. EuGene has passed on. I used to listen to
the late Bill Cooper regularly. Thank you for the input.

I loved Hour of the Time and would put up with all manner of noise to
hear it.

Now, all I listen to on Shortwave is BPSK31 and RTTY.

This is not the best time for daytime short wave as we are still in a
sun spot minimum. If there was more sun activity the middle and high
bands would be very active. I can tell you it is generally poor out here
on the west coast. If you are central or east coast things will be
better for you than here.

These days the best times are on the lower bands from around sunset to
sunrise.

I thought that program was being replayed somewhere or someone else
related to Cooper was continuing it. I thought I briefly came across it
within the last few months. I was busy and didn't take the time to
listen.

I can't stand Melissa Scott. At least Ralph Stair is entertaining in
a .... sick sort of manner. But WWRB"s show featuring that preacher
who calls himself "The Fugitive".... and a few others....

I would also say I like to listen to DXing shows on shortwave, but I'd
be lying if I said I actually listen to them on shortwave. Nope, I
listen to World of Radio and DX partyline via mp3. Radio Cuba's dxing
program is pretty good also but I usually end up missing it and
there's no mp3 of it online.

I used to 7-10 yrs. ago. If I am listening throughout the day, it will
usually be the BCB. Shortwave from around 5-6pm throughout the
evening. I may do some tuning through the daytime now with the time
change.

I love SW listening and in fact my main purpose of buying receivers is
to listen to SW English broadcasting such as BBC, VOA, Radio

Nowadays SW stations are getting fewer and fewer and BBC has stopped
SW broadcasting in Europe, so I am very worried. Maybe one day we will
have no SW stations to listen to.

I am Seriously considering learning SPANISH

- so I can understand the transmissions out of South America;

- Of which there are many

& is WBCQ still on the air ?
