Anyone else, is this fact? I have relatives who listened to SW on their massive radios for the entire war, and they for sure weren't in the govt. They did have a ban on hams transmitting, though. -- BDK BDK Klan leader? Former #1 kOOk Magnet (Title passed to Larnrod!) NJJ CLUB #1 Shillmaster |

Anyone else, is this fact? Don't know about the UK. *I do know that they did it in the US during the war. There have been varying accounts of to whom it was done. Some accounts say only expatriots of enemy countries, some say all SW radios had to be modified. I've personally had to rebuild several of the pre-war SW radios that had been disabled on SW (some were really nasty hack jobs... bandswitches removed or wired around, coils removed, components broken, etc.). That's cool Brenda Ann. So - - so "cloak & dagger.":-) |
