You better tell these commanders that, then, as well as the Republic of
Korea, representatives of which are not allowed on any base here without
specific permission from said commanders. There are, of course, a great
number of Korean support staff on the US Army bases here, but none
whatsoever on the Air Force bases, and very very few on the Navy or Marine
Corps bases. No Japanese nationals are allowed on any base in Japan, as far
a I have seen (they do have visitors centers OUTSIDE the gates of some US
bases in Japan).

Also, talk to the SCOTUS about it, since they have determined on at least
two occasions that GITMO is US soil.

Bases are leased. Just because the lease is part of a diplomatic treaty does
not mean the property is soverign. Ships ARE soverign from old rules.
Embassy perimeter is like a ship, US territory.

Bases have different contracts, rules, procedures, security, etc. depending
on how old. Gitmo is different from most for obvious reasons, but is not
soverign. Diego Garcia is leased. Japan and Germany are different from
Panama. Philippine bases were vacated instantly. Some countries like to have
the bases near, some don't.
