The old YALE (brand name) lock on my front door dates back to 1947 when
my house was built.Once in a long while, I have to ''break into'' my own
house.I know what I need to do to fix the old lock because I have
removed it a few times before and I checked it out.I needs braze weld a
little bit of brass on that little brass flip flop lever thingy and
carefully file it down untill it works as good as new.

Vertical deadbolt. Great lock.

That door couldn't have been stuck in the door jam all that much.A
little work with a wood plane would fix it up real good.

When that divorced Bell South lezzie woman from Natchez moved into that
house next door to me in September 2005, after Katrina, she removed the
old YALE lock from the front door.I asked her if she didn't want the
lock, can I have it, or buy it? She said she was going to sell it on
eBay.
