since Roosevelt and the New Deal took over. And the proof of the
pudding? We dems saved America during the Great Depression, then we
won WWII, in the late '90's we balanced the budget and now we have to
make up for 8 years of war and debt laden spending by repugs.

Let's be sure we understand what kind of spending happened under the
Repubs. If the feds pull in 2 trillion in taxes every year and we are
6 more in debt, that means they spent 22 trillion dollars in the last
eight years. What do we have to show for 22 trillion dollars spent?
So why wasn't the US taken over by the Soviets before WWII? After
WWII? Why did the repugs expect McCarthy, a drunk, to be their strong
right arm?

Your failures are writ large. McCarthy is known as at best a drunk
and a fool. We liberals defeated the USSR, we built free Europe, we
created the Marshall Plan, we built Social Security and we dems have
seen the historical record. We defeated segregation, sexism and made
sure that workers had rights.

And what did you do? Build up debt, create failed defense programs
and just in general nothing.

Fifty-one percent (51%) of American adults say alcohol is more dangerous
than marijuana, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone
survey. Just 19% disagree and say pot is worse.

But 25% say both are equally dangerous. Just two percent (2%) say
neither is dangerous.

Younger adults are more likely than their elders to view alcohol as the
more dangerous of the two.

Fifty-three percent (53%) of women say alcohol is more dangerous than
marijuana, compared to 48% of men. Men by a two-to-one margin over women
say pot is riskier, but women are more inclined to say both are dangerous.

Unmarried adults are more critical of alcohol than those who are
married. Those with children at home think alcohol is more dangerous
than those without kids living with them.
