Taking meself a little cig and coffee break right now.
Say for instance, you are standing on your ladder and you are working on
a corner of your house eave, and it would be much easier and much better
if you could place your ladder right there at/on the corner, (There she
goes,,,, down by the street light,,,, down by the cornerr,,, babys got
her bluejeans onnnn,,, those tight fittin jeannnns,,,,) but you know
what is bound to happen! I figure I can rig up something like a V shape
or L shape thingy and clamp that real tight to the top of my ladder and
be much safer.I am wayyyyy too sweet and pretty to slip and fall down
off of my ladder.

Some Cuh, like the irony of stealing it, somewhat of a turn on I guess
in a weird way. Kinda the double turn on, ripping off one from someone
that would give it to you for free. The best selling and most stolen,
go figure. Ha! That silly ole' book.

My son had a personalized Bible stolen from my wife's car. It was the
only item of value in the bag the thief grabbed, and it served him
right :-)

About a week ago, a few minutes after he started using his pawn shop
lawn mower that his son picked out for him last Summer, it quit
running. He started fooling around with it, he still couldn't get it
running again.

I hollered out to him,,, Change the oil drain plug and it will run.
He hollered out to me,,, Don't worry about this lawn mower!

A simple little Briggs & Stratton engine, I know I could get it
running.I have two old lawn mowers.I do my own repairs and maintnance on
my lawn mowers, my old vans and my old 1948 Willys Jeep and my old 1914
Ford Model T car and my old 1976 made in Germany Hercules moped too.I
have been doing my own repairs and maintance on my own old vehicles ever
since my first motor vehicle wayyyyyyyy back in 1957.

FWIW the Bible (the silly book) speaks of this exact thing as signs of
his coming. Just saying.

I'm already here.

That was pretty funny, but you know you will pay for that one day. ;-)

Pay for what, a freakin' bible?
Can't you just steal one of the gideon versions from a motel these days?

--

For some reason the word freaking followed by the word Bible just
seems a tad too much. I say that half serious and half being funny.

Myself - I have never been a Bible collector. I do know two people
that have an extraordinary collection though. I don't understand the
thinking behind it but I'm sure many don't understand collecting
radios or stamps either. I found out some years back the first Bible
my parents gave to me (other than those little ones that fit in your
hand when you're little) - - I had wondered why the gold lettering on
the outside ie;front cover and binding had worn off.

Other than that, the book itself looks somewhat new though it's around
thirty two years old. An oldtimer in his early eighties saw my Bible
and told me that it was brown morrocan leather and that there was no
known lettering on the outside of a Bible that would outlast that
particular leather. I found that pretty cool, at least it doesn't
telegraph that it's a Bible and I don't have to worry about Bob
stealing it. ;-P FWIW it's the 1611 KJV

Now that would be pretty upsetting, I've never owned one that had my
name on it - that would be pretty cool.
FWIW I have two of them (not counting my tiny one) - the one with the
morrocan leather that is a normal size Bible and I have a big study
edition with of course bigger lettering and plenty of notes and such
that really help at times in making sense of particular verses/chapter/
books.

Here is kind of the sad part. At my age, I have never physically
opened up my own wallet and paid for my own Bible.head bowed ;-) )
Both were gifts. Maybe three years ago I looked into buying my own
Bible. They have come a long way, with better guides/ Scofield notes
and concordances and cliff notes / glossary and Indian paper (which is
GREAT paper for a Bible IMO)....better than even my study one. So I
knew what I wanted and talked to a Bible Bookstore and explained
"exactly" what I wanted and I wanted one in the brown morrocan
leather. I was floored by the price/prices depending on particular
'extras' that I feel are very nice and very helpful....things that to
me are a must have and they were going to have too order it for me.
The price if I remember right was $237.00

I know I have spent way more than that on just one radio or
accessories for our hobby, very sadly I didn't buy it. Doesn't speak
too well for my character I suppose, I know this much though - I will
buy that Bible before I buy another radio that costs even close to
that amount.

No reason to walk on tippy toes. The Word shall make you free. If
freedom and religion can coexist, humor must be involved. Rigidity
invites power trips. Jesus is not about power trips.

The thief - anyone who steals something expecting monetary value and
getting a Bible is well-served. My son had his Bible replaced.

Ahhh so, is what some of us said when we got to Tokyo in January 1964.I
think I said it twice.Watched one old movie too many, I reckon.

I don't think the Japanese people in Japan run around saying, Ahhh so.I
never heard any of them over there say, Ahhh so.

It is all BullSh.t.Hollyweirdo crap!
