Default Bought a Grundig G5 $80

Radio Shack has the G5 on sale for $80.38.
I bought one and campared the AM section to my Grundig YB 305.
Daytime signals only so far, the G5 is much better, signals that
fade in and out on the YB are very listenable on the G5.
This may or may not be a fair comparision as the YB has had a fair
amount of bumping around.
I thought someone might want to know about the $80 price.
Mike

Is this with an A-B comparison, or from memory? The time of year will make a
huge difference in even daytime propogation, since in winter, there can
still be skip even in midday. This affects daytime reception of distant
stations, not so much via interference, but by phase cancellation of the
received signal due to dual (or more) path propogation (ground wave vs. sky
wave). This is especially true on the high end of the dial.
