follow the pied pipers. Probably too much to ask or hope for, I guess.
Again , thanks for your efforts guys.

Six posts in the history of your usenet activity and first here? I
think not. We all hope you add as much to this group as you are
cheerleading for. :-) What receivers do you use and what types of
antennas? Join the group to "make it better" and give your "decent
attempt." :-D Still on 60 meters here.:-I

I'm with Gregg here, you want to make a change for the better? Then
take your polit crap to the proper group. This is a radio/ shortwave
group. We don't need cross posting off-topic static here.

I'm looking at the Wellbrook, myself, at this location. How do
you like it? And which direction do you have the major lobes
oriented? Do you have to....and do you have the convenient mechanics
to...reorient it at will?

A very quiet antenna partially aided by it's ability to be rotated away from
most interfering noise sources. At this location I usually keep it facing
SSE as this is the main direction for my interests, utility monitoring. For
now an inexpensive Radio Shack rotator seems to be working fine. Very nice
to have the ability to remotely control it's direction. Only once did the
drive freeze during an ice storm.
When setting up it's location for best noise free operation, I placed the
assembled unit on a temporary moveable base in order to try it a various
spots around the yard. That spot was soon found although not exactly where
I wanted it. The cable runs are now buried beneath the my wife's flower
beds and a small rock garden and at some length from the house.
For a final touch the amazing 1026 removes almost entirely any lingering
noise. Very pleased with the setup.
Please excuse my not replying to newsgroup posts at times as my job
sometimes takes me away for extended periods. Thanks for your interest and
the best of monitoring to the group.

That big oil containment box (Gulf oil spill) didn't work,,, clogged
with ice crystals/whatever.

Some of that oil will pollute beaches on the East coast too and it will
pollute Limeyland (I Don't care about Limeyland!!!!!!!) and Ireland.

It didn't work because there's 5 times as much **** coming out of that
hole than they're willing to admit. *It's an Exxon Valdez a week.

That, and ice/methane crystal build-up on the hygroscopic points of
the device. It's cold down that deep, even in the balmy Gulf. The
reports suggest the expulsion is now up to 3,000,000 gallons; could
certainly be more than that. No matter how you cut these cards, a
very bad deal.
