Good, but not nearly as strong as //9495.(Grundig G3, Mike Bryant, Louisville, KY) Very cool - I wish *something* from Iran would be audible out here. All we usually get is faint mumbling on a shaky carrier. IRAN. 13600, VOIRI, Kamalabad in French at 1912 UTC, June 6. W with commentary on US imperialism. Weak. (Grundig G3, Mike Bryant, Louisville, KY) KUWAIT. 13650, RK, Sulaibiyah, in Arabic at 1918, June 6. Contemporary Arabic vocals, M & W anncrs. Weak to fair. (Grundig G3, Mike Bryant, Louisville, KY) This one often booms in out here, much better than their near- contemporary EE BC. I never thought this would happen, but have a QSL for this one :-). NEW ZEALAND. 13730, RNZI, Rangitaiki, in EE at 0200, June 7. Reggae mx, M w/ ID "This is the Voice of the Pacific, from Wellington, New Zealand," TP at ToH, into ID and short local nx and wx by W, back to mx. Excellent signal. (G3, Mike Bryant, Louisville, KY) One of the U.S. West's strongest signals, on every freq.they use. RNZI is audible all day. RUSSIA. 7440, VoR, transmitter location unknown, in EE at 0130, June 7. M & W w/ mailbag prgm, IDs. Does anyone know where this is being broadcast from? Strong, better than //9890. (Grundig G3, Mike Bryant, Louisville, KY) Matches Ukraine from earlier in the season; could well be their site. Try a reception report and see what the QSL says. Bruce Jensen |

"[non]" after a country is a logging protocol from Hauser's DX Listening Digest that indicates a relay transmission. http://www.w4uvh.net/dxlatest.txt The DXLD is the source of most of DX Ace's group alerts in this NG. Mike Louisville, KY Thanks, I'd seen the "non" before but was unaware of its specific meaning. Does GH do subscriptions to DXLD? I get his dailies through Primetimeshortwave Yahoo group... Bruce |

Bruce Yeah, I'm also on the Yahoo group, but once a week Hauser takes the best tips turned in on the group and edits them into a weekly internet digest that can be accessed at the URL I provided earlier.
