Hello,

Anyone happen to know if there is a new version or update for the Sony
ICF-SW7600GR due "shortly" ?

Thinking of perhaps getting one to give for a gift.

Also contemplating waiting for the new Sangean 909X due out, apparently,
by the end of the year, but I guess that when it does come out it'll
probably be some $ 100 more. Not sure if worth waiting for ?

Highly doubtful. Sony is pretty much out of the shortwave business.

and yes that is how i feel : sony no baloney
they make 'good world band radio stuff' ~ RHF

The ICF-SW7600G and the ICF-SW7600GR have identical performance. The main
circuit board is identical, only the microcontroller board has changed.
