Nice for a first impression. Meaningful points.

I'll be interested in your review when you've had more time to
spend with it.

Palstar R30x are very good.I own one with 2 Collins filters (R30CC).
Audio is above average.Front end is very decent. Big appetite (power)
for a small size. One of very few companies ( less than a dozen in
this business) still left over here.

I picked up a used SE-3 Sherwood for my 340. i hooked it up to my
30CC, and it's still there. the Sherwood made a fun, simple receiver,
a lot more fun to play with. the Palstar is a super receiver for the
price. had mine about 6 or 7 years now. never missed a beat. and
Paul is a super guy.

I should mention, the Palstar is sold in Europe under the Lowe 350
badge. just an FYI, if you didn't know.

Indeed it does, though I think this involves. It's something I
overlook because I am not interested in using a computer to control a
radio I will mainly use while camping. For someone who is interested
in using a computer to control their receiver, it's definitely a point
in favor of the Lowe.
