Shortwave Listener QSL Reports :http://tinyurl.com/2d9qlqhttp://www....ortwave-listen... *. - = 2FN6XOG = - & - = 2D9QLQ = - *. *. An "anticipated warning system" has no specific meaning. We'll find out... This part of the Link should give a 'hint' "tsunami-test-announcement" So WWV in the USA in Fort Collins, CO -USA- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWV_%28radio_station%29 Is getting into the business of issuing of Issuing Tsunami Alert Warnings "D'Oh!" from the Center of the Continental USA for the South Pacific Area ???which part of this picture does not seem right??? Why not pay-for/sponsor a Time Standard and Frequency Radio Station in the middle of Australia that can also do the Tsunami Alert Warnings for the South Pacific ? ? ? They are 'there' in the Area; and most/many local Radio Listeners in the South Pacific Area can receive them much better than WWV coming from the USA. Better yet why not let Singapore, Indonesia Malaysia and all the 'other' Countries in the South Pacific Area form a Consortium and have their own Time Standard and Frequency Radio Station with a Tsunami Alert Warnings System. What Two Frequencies to use : Use 5,555 kHz and 11,111 kHz -or- 4,321 kHz and 12,345 kHz -easy-to-remember-mnemonics- Broadcast Mode just like WWV : DSB-w-RC |
