Most wars do start for fairly stupid reasons . For instance : the
Hundred Year War , Spanish - American War , Russo-Japanese War , WW
I . *A soldier that refuses given orders is normally court-
martialled . Nothing noble here whatsoever .

The military here is all volunteer. If they wanted war to end they could
do it. No one else can. If we decide as an informed populace that
conflict is best settled with bombs (insane) then send all able bodied
young people, as determined by a lottery.

War, as practiced by the USA, is evil and perverse. You want to know who
the grownups are? India, Brazil, Germany.

India is definitily growing up-- in population . The last count is
1.21 Billion people . Brazil is not exactly a fully developed country
(relatively speaking ) . . . Germany, OTH, well I didn't expect them
to get involved in Libya at all . . . Memories of Africa Korps
(1941-43) are still quite fresh !

The USA should not expel one (1) round of ammunition for any foreign
conflict where we have not been attacked. Libya is not a threat to the
USA or it's citizens. Close all of the overseas bases and tie all of the
Aircraft Carriers up to their docks and let the sailors play baseball or
something. The USA has plenty of problems at home and it is time to
start to resolve some of them. Yes, I served at the time of Vietnam.

Nothing is keeping you from moving there.I own a half acre of land in
Florida, but I am staying right here in Missy Sippy untill the day I
croak.
