Default 25-meter-band got "red hot" this morning...

OK, so here are the propagation specs for the last 8 hours or
so...from eHam...

1500 by VE7CC SFI=109, A=8, K=2, No Storms - No Storms
1200 by VE1DX SFI=109, A=8, K=1, No Storms - No Storms
0900 by AE5E SFI=109, A=8, K=3, No Storms - No Storms

ordinary...but they do not tell the whole story. By about 0900z, the
11-meter band was erupting with signals here near SF Bay, and after
1000z it was almost ridiculous. Voice of Mongolia, always a tough
station to get any audio on hereabouts, was at S-9+ on AM, and would
have been armchair if not for R. Australia 5 kHz down that was
blasting in at S-9 + 40. At about 1045z, several mainland China and
Russia outlets were bombing in here at S-9 + 60 db. Insane. I'm glad
I got to see it :-)

12085 kHz. I used USB to avoid R. Australia's 12080 splatter, which
was considerable...although eventually VoM became so strong that S-AM
+ Passband with the RF Gain turned down a tad sounded pretty nice :-).

BTW, VoM is on the air at 0900 - 1100Z. Last segment in English, but
they turn their beam for that one and the signal drops just a tad as a
result.
