You seem to have a fascination with defending Obama's qualifications. If he's qualified he doesn't need defending. You protest to much. If the streets were littered with guns, I don't see much of a problem, other than with children who have not had training on how to properly handle them, or are too young to have them. However, the people who come across them, not what is a whole other story. It is absolute fact to me, the guns are NOT the problem, the people ARE! Truth is, whatever you do with those guns, you are always going to have those defective people -- and knives, clubs, bows and arrows, pipe/shrapnel-bombs, etc. I'd worry more about plans to deal with the people, the fix, and the answer, lies there ... makes reagan shutting down the nut farms in California that much more of an obvious crime. As always, I take a feeling of security from being armed with a weapon, having my neighbors armed with weapons, my friends, my family and all sane Americans -- the criminals will always have guns -- that is simply what they do ... I would make gun training part of high school curriculum. I would encourage all Americans to own guns, both for protecting their personal safety and to protect those around them.
