Default Hallicrafters S-38D dial pointers wanted...

Hello all,

I have just acquired a extremely good condition S-38D that someone removed the original dial pointers and replaced them with ones made from an aluminum Coke can! The dial cords are original so I have no earthly idea what they were thinking! I you have a junker set and would like to part with pointers please email me. This radio is for my personal collection and not for sale.

Thanks,
Randy.

The receiver already has a pointer, made from a Coke can. If he wanted
non-original, he'd keep that. But he wants original, which means whatever
was used there in the first place, not some makeshift like the bit of Coke
can.

I was merely adding to the body of knowledge, not trying to one-up
anybody. How long have you been a lawyer?

Except you seemed to be paying attention to the village idiot rather than
the original post. He chimes in, as he has to do, and adds nothing to the
solution, yet distracts the thread so you think it's about finding any old
substitute.

Did you have it painted in some bright red or orange color for good visibility?
