Back when Radio Shack was closing out their SW receivers,(2002?)
I went around to the local stores and bought a DX-375 396, 398 and a 399.
I did some of Frank Cathell's mods, (agc, antenna matching xformer,
removed the tuning detents and the gain mod, all reversible), to the
398, (which has the broken stand, of course) and added an external
antenna jack to the 375,
but otherwise these radios are as new with the boxes etc.
I already had a ATS 909 which is unmodified and also as new.
I have a Sony 2010 and an ATS 803A which I use regularly, and never felt the
need to use them.
They have been out of the box, generally, just to check them out and
been in a
drawer every since.
I am thinking about selling them but have not been able to decide what a
fair
price for each would be.
Ebay is all over the place and I could only find a couple that sold at
Universal.
Any help would be appreciated and if anyone is interested and makes a
fair offer
I can take some pictures and go from there.
