I've been seeing some spots today for VK0JJJ on Heard Island on 28525. That's
about 11200 miles from my location.

I hope to hear them when 10 meters opens up here.

I'm not real big on Antarctica geography, but I believe that VK0JJJ is
not Heard Island, which is uninhabited.

The last expedition to Heard Island was VK0IR circa 1997 -- and
fortunately I've got their QSL. Worked them 30 meters CW and 20 meter RTTY.

Heard Island is not active at this time. However, a DXpedition is planned
for it in 2016. It was originally scheduled for this year then next year,
now it's 2016. More than likely money is a factor. The recent FT5Zm
operation had a budget of $450,000.
